Fort Myers, Fla. (April 24, 2007)-Lee County is topping magazine rankings again this year.  The Cape Coral-Fort Myers area registered among the "Best Cities for Doing Business" in Inc. magazine's annual list of business hot spots.  Inc. Magazine ranked Cape Coral-Fort Myers No. 1 for midsized cities and  No. 4 overall.

To compile the rankings, Inc. examined job-growth data, supplied by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on 393 metropolitan statistical areas.  They analyzed current-year employment growth, as well as average annual job growth over the past three years, and compared job growth in the first and second halves of the period comprising the past 10 years.  They also analyzed job growth by industry sector.
