ISLAND PARK REGIONAL MITIGATION SITE AT  ESTERO MARSH PRESERVE RIBBON CUTTING  CEREMONY 

On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, 11 AM, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Island Park Regional Mitigation Site at Estero Marsh Preserve.  The ceremony will be under the FPL power lines on Island Park Road in south Ft Myers.   Lee County Commissioner, Ray Judah, will serve as master of ceremonies.  He will be joined by numerous officials from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, South Florid Water Management District and the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council. The project cost $ 923,000.   

The ceremony is open to the public and area citizens are encouraged to attend the festivities.

NOTE:   The ceremony will be conducted in a large field.  It is strongly encouraged that women wear flats.
