FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Burnt Store Road - Veterans Parkway - Colonial Boulevard Fort Myers, FL, April 29, 2005 - The Lee County Department of Transportation (LC DOT) in coordination with Charlotte County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is hosting three public workshops to present information from the Bi-County Transportation Corridor Study. The corridor study extends from Interstate 75 (I-75) in Lee County west along Colonial Boulevard and Veterans Parkway, then north along Burnt Store Road to Jones Loop Road at I-75 in Charlotte County. Individual workshop dates and locations are shown below. The workshops will be conducted in an "open house" format; no formal presentation will be given. You may attend the workshops anytime from 5-7 p.m. Each workshop will present a summary about the corridor within that workshop's area. Handouts will be available with information about the other sections of the corridor. Information presented at the workshops will include an overview of the entire project, displays showing future roadway concepts; right-of-way needs and estimated project cost.
