Rose Elected to Public Relations Society of America National Board of Directors
LEE COUNTY, FL ( Dec. 8, 2006) – Lee Rose, communications manager for the Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB), has been elected to a three-year term on the Public Relations Society of America Travel and Tourism section (PRSA) board of directors.
PRSA is the world's largest organization for public relations professionals. Its nearly 20,000 members represent business and industry, technology, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and nonprofit organizations. Chartered in 1947, PRSA's primary objectives are to advance the standards of the public relations profession and to provide members with professional development. PRSA's travel and tourism section members represent travel-related organizations, including state and national tourism offices, convention and visitors bureaus, hotels, resorts, airlines, cruise lines, rental car companies, attractions, museums, historic sites, theme parks, tour operators and public relations agencies that represent such clients.
Rose has been with the VCB since 1997. The communications staff promotes the Lee County tourism destination to travel and lifestyle journalists in order to secure editorial coverage in media worldwide.
