Nov 21, 2006 For Immediate Release: Southwest Gulfcoast Envirothon Friday December 8th, 2006 at 9:00 AM The envirothon is an academic challenge for high school students that educates, creates partnerships and promotes teamwork as students learn about the interdependencies of our environment. Teams from 6 counties will test their knowledge of soils, aquatics, wildlife, forestry and alternate fuel sources. The winning team will move on to the state competition in May 2007.
