The first place winners from all library locations will be honored at a special reception on Friday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble store in Fort Myers. Library staffers say the reception is an exciting event for the children and their families.

"Teachers frequently attend to support their students and many of our children's library staff will be on hand." said Community Relations Coordinator, Heather O'Connell.

Each winner receives a Barnes & Noble gift certificate as well as a certificate honoring them for their winning design, and a supply of his/her bookmarks.

The evening also supports the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. On Friday evening only, Barnes & Noble shoppers who present Reading Festival vouchers will have a portion of their purchase price donated to the event. Vouchers will be available at all Lee County Library System locations prior to the reception.
