Summerlin/Gladiolus Intersection to Close Nights November 5th-9th
Nov 3, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Amy Davies, Lee County DOT, 479-8589 SUMMERLIN/GLADIOLUS INTERSECTIONS TO CLOSE NIGHTS FROM NOVEMBER 5 THROUGH NOVEMBER 9 FORT MYERS, FL (November 3, 2006) – Thru traffic in ALL DIRECTIONS at the intersection of Summerlin Road and Gladiolus Drive will be closed each night from Sunday, November 5, through Thursday, November 9 to allow continued placement and fastening of the steel beams for Span A. Similar future closures of this intersection will be required when the concrete decks are poured, painting the bridges, and paving the intersection. The intersection will be closed each night beginning Sunday, November 5 until Thursday, November 9 from 7p.m. to 6 a.m. MOTORISTS SHOULD AVOID THIS INTERSECTION AND USE ALTERNATE ROUTES: U.S. 41, Cypress Lake Drive and Winkler Road. Access to businesses at the intersection will be provided. Law enforcement will be available to assist with maintenance of traffic. |
