Horizon Council to Recognize Companies at Industry Appreciation Luncheon

(September 13, 2006) - On Friday, Sept. 22, the Horizon Council will recognize four outstanding Lee County businesses at the annual Industry Appreciation Luncheon for the following categories: Tourism, Information Technology, Manufacturing and General Business. Additionally, this year the Council will award a Business Expansion Award and a Lifetime Achievement Award. This event draws approximately 800 government, business and community leaders to celebrate the significant contributions of the business community in Lee County. The event will be held at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. Limited seating is available for the media. Please RSVP to Jennifer Dunn by 9/18/06. 11:45 a.m. Program begins with remarks from elected officials 12:10 p.m. Lunch served The Lee County Horizon Council is a 62-member public-private board that advises Lee County Commissioners on economic development issues. The Council works to improve Lee County's business environment, retain and encourage expansion of existing businesses and attract new and diversified employment. |
