Regional Research Institute at FGCU to Conduct Regional Health Care Study

(September 6, 2006)---The Regional Research Institute at Florida Gulf Coast University is in the process of completing a regional economic survey of Healthcare Industries in Charlotte, Collier and Lee Counties. The surveys are due back by October 10th. Once completed the survey will provide not only detailed information about jobs, wages, revenues, and expenses within the healthcare industry but also an economic model will be used to estimate the health care industry demand for products and services in other industries and the jobs that are supported by the health care industry in the community. The survey is being sponsored by the Health Care Advisory Council of Lee County; the Health Care Industry Members of Charlotte, Collier and Lee Counties; and the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board.
