Traffic to be Switched to New Lanes on Bus. 41 Week of 08-21-06
Aug 21, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Lee County Department of Transportation Kris Cella Fort Myers, FL, Aug. 20, 2006 – Contractors for the Lee County Department of Transportation are finalizing paving efforts on the west side of the roadway for Business 41 (N. Tamiami Trail) from SR 78 (Bayshore/Pine Island Road) to north of Littleton Road and will begin shifting ALL traffic to the new lanes on the west side of the road. Once signal work is complete at SR 78 (Bayshore/Pine Island Road), traffic will be shifted west to align with the new roadway. Work will then begin to rebuild the existing lanes on the east side of the roadway. Weather conditions may affect this schedule. Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through this area.
