LEE TV TO AIR VIDEO ON HURRICANE PREPAREDNESS

FORT MYERS, FL. ( June 13, 2006) –  Residents interested in learning more about being prepared in the event a hurricane heads towards Lee County can now watch a video on that subject on Lee TV, Lee County's government access channel.

The video, entitled Hurricanes: Prepare For Nature's Fury, was produced by the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  It give viewers information on how hurricanes are formed, their power and destructive potential, and what residents can do to be prepared for an approaching storm.

The program will be broadcast Thursdays at 8:30 pm and can be seen on most of the Comcast cable system, Channel 11 and Time Warner, Channel 16.   Lee TV is the county's 24-hour government access channel that provides residents with information on what is going in Lee County Government.  A broadcast schedule can be viewed on the county's website at www.lee-county.com.  Click on Lee TV and select Lee TV Schedule.
