Jun 8, 2006 Sporting Events Dot Calendar for Lee County this Weekend Fort Myers FL - The "ping" of the bat, swoosh of the club and splash of the pool will be heard loud and clear all over Lee County this coming weekend. First up, the Lee County Sports Complex will host the Independent Softball Association (ISA) Men's "E" National Invitational on Saturday June 10th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Admission is free. The event was awarded to the Lee County Sports Authority at the 2005 ISA National Convention in Orlando, Fl. "We are looking to expand our presence in Lee County. Lee County offers a great place for ISA members to play some quality softball and relax at the same time," said ISA Executive Director Chet Tyl. Next, Perfect Game Baseball, the nation's premier scouting organization, is gearing up to host its annual Sunshine East and Academic Showcases from June 10-13. This event will attract the nation's best high school baseball players to Lee County. The event will be held at Terry Park and the Red Sox Player Development Complex. Tournament and daily passes will be sold at the gate. The Gulf Coast Swim Team (GCST) will be hosting the Morgan Stanley Invitational June 9-11 at the Lee County/FGCU Aquatics Center, where hundreds of the state's best swimmers will complete in GCST's second event of the season.
