Other local artists will be featured at eight-week intervals. Commissioner Hall was elected to the Board of Lee County Commissioners in 2004 and serves as the Board's first Chairwoman. Her district includes North Fort Myers and the central and northern portions of Cape Coral. CAROL MCARDLE Southwest Florida artist, Carol McArdle grew up in England but was actually born in Jamaica from where her love for Florida's bright colors and warm climate come from. Carol has had a long and varied art career in England, Ireland and America. The last ten years, since moving to Southwest Florida, have been particularly exciting for her. Since 1997, she has experienced a high demand for commissioned work of fine art quality murals, trompe l'oeil and faux finishing for the beautiful homes of Naples. Carol developed her colorful and energetic abstracts in 1999. She began to show them in galleries soon after. Her work is currently on display at the Arts For Act Gallery and The Art League of Fort Myers Gallery. Carol is currently the president of the Art League of Fort Myers Gallery. Upcoming shows include the Sona Gallery in the new Naples Art District on Bayshore Drive in the fall.
