PUBLIC INPUT SOUGHT AT COMMUNITY MEETING ON WA-KE HATCHEE PARK FUTURE PHASES 

FORT MYERS, Fla. (June 2, 2006) – Lee County will hold a community meeting Wednesday, June 7, 7 p.m., to take public input on the future of park land next to Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center in south Fort Myers. 

Input is being sought on the park design and any other public issues that may arise.  The county's project manager, consultant, and parks & recreation staff will be on hand.  The 50-acre park land is adjacent to Wa-Ke Hatchee Recreation Center, 16760 Bass Road (which opened in September), Lexington Middle School and Lexington Country Club.
