Spanish Creek Preserve Public Meeting June 1, 2006
May 22, 2006 For Immediate Release: NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING Spanish Creek Preserve, a Conservation 20/20 acquisition, is a 240 acre preserve in northeast Lee County, located on North River Road approximately 1 mile north of Alva Elementary School. The Land Stewardship Plan has been developed to protect the natural resources on the Preserve and outlines future plans for the Preserve, including hiking trails and exotic plant removal. Lee County Parks and Recreation Staff invites the public to review the Land Stewardship Plan for the Preserve and attend this public meeting. The public meeting will be held Thursday June 1, 2006 at 6:30 pm at the Alva Community Center, 21471 North River Road, Alva. Come let us know what you think! The Stewardship Plan is available for review from May 12th – June 1st, 2006, at the Riverdale Branch Library –14561 State Road 80, Fort Myers - and at www.leeparks.org under the Natural Resources tab. Written comments will be accepted prior to the commencement of, or during the course of the scheduled meeting. |
