Lee County Animal Services Offers Special Adoption Days Fort Myers, Florida, 3/1/2006– Lee County Animal Services is celebrating St. Patrick's Day by offering discounts on pet adoptions for an entire week. From March 11th through the 18th dogs may be adopted for only $40 and cats for $25 (regularly $65 and $50). All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations appropriate for the pet's age, heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older, feline aids and leukemia test for cats, flea treatment, worming, county license for pets 3 months and over, and a nationally registered Microchip Pet ID. The total package of services is valued at more that $400! Animal Services encourages anyone thinking about adding a pet to their family to take advantage of this offer and provide an orphaned pet with a life-long home. Over 10,000 pets in Lee County were not lucky enough to find a home in 2005. We can improve the luck of homeless pets this year when new pet owners take a dog or cat home. The adopter gets a life-long companion and the pet gets a second chance at life!
