Cape Bridge Toll Booth Scheduled to Open Prior to Rush Hour
Feb 10, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Amy Davies, Lee DOT, 479-8589 CAPE BRIDGE TOLL BOOTH SCHEDULED TO OPEN PRIOR TO RUSH HOUR FORT MYERS, Fla. (February 10, 2006) The toll booth on the Cape Coral Bridge damaged by fire last week and causing traffic delays since is scheduled to open at before today's afternoon rush hour. The county is in the process of testing the new booth this morning. A car fire Feb. 2 in Toll Booth Lane 1 (westbound) of the Cape Coral Bridge destroyed that lane's toll booth. The lane is the "manned" lane furthest to the right of the plaza heading into Cape Coral from Fort Myers that you would use if you did not have correct change to go through one of the unmanned, automatic lanes. |
