FIRE IMPACT FEE STUDY AVAILABLE A Fire and EMS impact fee study has been completed and is available for review by clicking here. The fees have not been updated in three years. The report will be reviewed at the following meetings and is tentatively scheduled for adoption on March 28th.

2005 BUILDING PERMITS SET ALL TIME RECORD Permitting value in Lee County (which includes unincorporated Lee County, the City of Bonita Springs and the Town of Fort Myers Beach) experienced a record increase in 2005, surging a whopping $1.7 billion to surpass the $4.7 billion mark.
Single-family home permits increased 47% from 7,124 to 10,471 and multi-family home permits (apartments, duplexes and condos) rose 31% from 5,625 to 7,391.

THE LEE PLAN Please be advised that the 2004 Codification of the Lee Plan has been slightly revised to correct discrepancies found in Goal 16 of the Future Land Use element. Policies 16.3.2, 16.3.5, and 16.8.5 were duplicated in the codification; therefore, pages 51-52 and 57-58 have been revised. The Codification, in its entirely, is available by clicking here. NEW PLAT REVIEW APPLICATION In conjunction with recently adopted revisions to Administrative Code 13-19 (AC-13-19), Technical Requirements for Plat Approval, a Plat Review application, along with submittal requirements, has been created for use when submitting plats for review. NEWS FROM CASHIER STATION Hazardous Waste Exemptions for businesses no longer exist. No one applying for an occupational license after January 1st will be receiving the $20.00 credit. Those that received the exemption previously will be paying the full fee beginning the next renewal season.
