County Seeking Volunteers for Human Services Funding Committee
Jan 23, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Media Contact: Ann Arnall, Lee County Human Services (239) 533-7900 COUNTY SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR HUMAN SERVICES FUNDING COMMITTEE FORT MYERS, Fla. (January 23, 2006) The Lee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from residents who are interested in being considered for appointment to the Lee County Human Services "Partnering for Results" Proposal Review Panel. Persons interested in serving on this review panel must commit to attend all meetings during the designated times. The Partnering for Results (PFR) Program awards county funds to non-profit agencies for the purchase of services that address the following four outcomes: Supportive Housing/Living, Economic Opportunity, Activities for Youth, and Basic Assistance. The panel reviews proposals from various human service agencies and makes funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. during the months of April and May. Applications for Review Panel members are available from Lee County Department of Human Services located at 2440 Thompson Street, Fort Myers, FL on-line at http://dhs.lee-county.com/contracts/PRPRPApplication.pdf. Applications should be returned to the Department of Human Services no later than January 31, 2006.
