Florida Flame Behind Freedom Election!
Jan 11, 2006 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: January 11, 2006 Contact: Vicki Collins, Community Awareness Program Director FLORIDA FLAME BEHIND FREEDOM ELECTION! Lee County, FL The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office Community Awareness Program Staff will conduct the Florida Flame Behind Freedom Election on Friday, January 13, 2006 at Germain Arena located at 11000 Everblades Parkway in Estero Florida. Voting hours are from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The Florida Flame is the official Development League team of the Miami Heat, the Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. Flame fans of all ages will be able to cast their vote for their favorite player on the iVotronic touchscreen voting machines. Community Awareness Staff will also be available for people to register to vote, make any changes to their voter information, provide election information and take absentee ballot requests. Lee County Supervisor of Elections, Sharon L. Harrington considers "the partnership with the Florida Flame a fun way to provide voter education on the touchscreen machines and promote voter awareness in the community." |
