Commission Approves Regional Library/Emergency Operations Center
Dec 20, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Pete Winton, County Administration COMMISSION APPROVES NORTHWEST REGIONAL LIBRARY CONTRACT/MASTER PLANNING FOR NEW EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER FORT MYERS, Fla. (December 20, 2005) The Board of Lee County Commissioners today took the following actions during its regular weekly meeting. They are: Northwest Regional Library Approved a $12.5-million contract with Casey Construction to build the Northwest Regional Library. The 40,000-square-foot library will be located between Mariner High School and Mariner Middle School at Chiquita Boulevard and Tropicana Parkway in Cape Coral. EOC Awarded the contract to design a master plan for a new LEE COUNTY EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER to Barany Schmitt Summers Weaver (BSSW) for a Not-to-Exceed amount of $197,700. The plan is to locate the new facility at Lee County Mosquito Control in Buckingham. |
