The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continues to operate two Disaster Recovery Centers in Lee County. Disaster Recovery Centers provide a single location where people can talk face-to-face with disaster recovery specialists. Disaster assistance may include grants to help pay for temporary housing, minor home repair and other disaster-related expenses not covered by insurance or other sources.
Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) also are available for residential and business losses not covered by insurance. Visitors to the DRC can receive help filling out SBA disaster loan applications.
The DRCs are open from 8:00AM until 6:00PM daily, Monday through Saturday. They are located at the: Wal-Mart Parking Lot 2523 Lee Blvd. Lehigh Acres, FL 33971

Before applying for disaster assistance, residents must register with FEMA. Registration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There are three ways to register:
1. Use the internet at www.fema.gov 2. Call by telephone, toll-free at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) 3. TTY 1-800-462-7585 for those with speech or hearing impairment.
