Lee County Marine Law Enforcement Task Force to debut Boating Safety Trading Cards at Ft. Myers Boat Show
 
FORT MYERS, Fla. (November 8, 2005)  The Lee County Marine Law Enforcement Task Force will be unveiling their latest tool to get across their boating safety messages: Collectable trading cards.  The card's unveiling are part of the 33rd Annual Fort Myers Boat Show taking place Thursday, November 10 through Sunday November 13 in downtown Ft. Myers at the Harborside Convention Center, the Ft. Myers City Yacht Basin and the Centennial Harbour Marina.

The official introduction of the new trading cards will take place on Friday, November 11th at 11:00am at the Task Force booth inside the Boat Show.

Twelve different trading cards featuring each of the Task Force's agencies and a different boating safety message will be available at the 2005 Boat Show.  Action photos of officers demonstrating safety messages are shown on each card.  Safety messages range from safe boating courses to homeland security to personal watercraft safety. 

Agencies involved in the Task Force are:  Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Florida Department of Environmental Protection Division of Law Enforcement, Lee County Sheriff's Office, Cape Coral Police Department, Fort Myers Police Department, Sanibel Police Department, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Coast Guard - Ft. Myers Beach, and the US Coast Guard Cutter Marlin. The participating agencies are committed to providing the highest quality of marine law enforcement to protect the users of Lee County's waterways, safeguard property, and conserve/protect marine life along with its environment.
