Lee TV Newswrap Segments Now Online
Sep 30, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: J. Keith Smith, Lee County Public Resources LEE TV NEWSWRAP SEGMENTS NOW ONLINE FORT MYERS, FL. (September 30, 2005) Lee County residents will now be able to watch Lee TV Newswrap, Lee County's television news and information program, via the world wide web. Selected Newswrap segments can be viewed by video streaming technology that doesn't take up any space on their home computer. The county already provides a live feed of Lee TV, its 24-hour government access station, on its website, www.lee-county.com. Access to the video segments is available from the home page by selecting a clip from the drop down box under Newswrap Videos. The clip will launch in Windows Media Player. The streaming technology works best with a high-speed connection and additional segments will be added as they are produced. Visitors can also choose Lee TV Live or click on This Week's BOCC Meeting for playback of the most recent Board of County Commissioners regular meeting. Past BOCC meetings dating to April, 2004 are also available for viewing from the county's Video Archives page. Click on the Lee TV link on the home page to navigate to the Archives search page. Lee TV is Lee County's 24-hour government access channel that provides residents with information on what is going in Lee County Government. It is broadcast on the ComCast cable system, channel 11, and on the Time Warner system, channel 16. A broadcast schedule can be viewed on the county's website at www.lee-county.com.
