Vote for Your Favorite "Mightiest Miracle Player"!

(August 24, 2005) - The Lee County Supervisor of Elections Office Community Awareness Program invites you to VOTE for your favorite Mightiest Miracle Player on Saturday, September 3, 2005, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the Lee County Sports Complex located at 14400 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers Florida. The Community Awareness Program Staff will conduct the "Mightiest Miracle Player" Election for Fort Myers Miracle Professional Baseball fans, both adult and children alike. Fans will have an opportunity to cast a vote for their Mightiest Miracle Player on the iVotronic touchscreen voting machines. Sample ballots will be distributed as fans enter the stadium. Voting will take place from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Once the polls close, and the votes are tallied, Lee County Supervisor of Elections, Sharon L. Harrington will announce the winner and present a plaque naming the "Mightiest Miracle Player 2005". This partnership between the Lee County Elections Office Community Awareness Program and the Fort Myers Professional Miracle Baseball provides a wonderful opportunity to educate people on the iVotronic touchscreen voting machines, allows them to register to vote, update their voter information, and promotes voter awareness within the community. Lee County Supervisor of Elections Sharon L. Harrington hopes that "If people think it is important to vote for their 'Mightiest Miracle Player,' it will bring a greater awareness to local, county, state and federal elections." |
