Feb 23, 2005 Important Information from Lee County Department of Community Development What's New E-CONNECT UPDATE As of Monday, February, 21st, E-Connect, our permit tracking system, will allow you to view the progress (ie, whether the application has been found complete, if the case has been scheduled before the Hearing Examiner or Board of County Commissioners if applicable, outcome of those hearings once they've been held, etc.) of Rezoning (REZ) and Variance (VAR) cases. Other zoning case types will follow in the near future. To access the tracking system, go to http://www.lee-county.com/econnect/ or go to the DCD home page at http://www.lee-county.com/dcd and click on 'E-Connect' in the upper right corner of the page. BONITA SPRINGS ADOPTS NEW LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE (CHAPTER 3) The City Council adopted Chapter 3, Development Standards, of the City's Land Development Code on January 19, 2005. This Code will go into effect on February 18, 2005. You can view or print a copy of the Code by going to our web page at http://www.lee-county.com/dcd1/Downloads/Documents/Studies_Reports/Ordinances/BonitaDevStandards.pdf. NEW WEBGIS APPLICATION AVAILABLE Planned Development summaries are now available on the Property Appraiser's Web GIS. The Map will show the planned development cases by type (Airport Operations, Community Facilities, Commercial, Industrial, Mobile Home, Mixed Use, Private Recreation Facility, Planned Unit Development, Residential, or Recreational Vehicle) and also the status of the case (approved, pending, approved with pending amendments, or denied) The summary includes the Planned development status, a generalized project approval list, project case histories (including links to zoning resolutions and if available links to E-Connect), and a list of requests currently under review by staff. To access this information, go to www.gis.leepa.org and perform the following steps: 1. Click on the "Planning District" folder on the lower right of the screen to expand and view options 2. Select "Planned Developments" to view the maps 3. Click on the "Planning District" folder to close the folder and accept the new layer as viewable 4. Select "Planned Development Info" from the "Applications" drop down box at the upper right of the screen 5. Select one of the Planned Developments to obtain a summary sheet for the status/approvals. DEVELOPMENT ORDER PICK-UP AREA FYI, we have moved the Development Order pick-up area from the drive-thru window in the permitting lobby to the first floor reception desk in the main lobby. If you would prefer to continue picking up your DO's at the drive-thru window, just let Liz know when she calls you for their pick-up.
