Redfish Nation Q SERIES Focus Is On Fort Myers

Little Rock, Ark-It's time to shake off the winter blues and get back to fishing.  Registration is now open for the Redfish Nation Q SERIES tournament out of Pineland Marina this Saturday, February 19 in Fort Myers, Florida.

There is still plenty of time to register for a chance to compete and possibly take home $10,000 in cash.  To be a part of the action simply call 888-698-2591 or register on-site Friday, February 18 from 4-7 p.m. at the Matlacha Community Center on Pine Island Road.  A fish fry and mandatory captain's meeting on rules, procedures, flight times, and other tournament information will follow registration at 7 p.m.

The six-event Q SERIES features the Mercury Eastern and Triton Western Divisions.  Each division consists of three one-day events. First Prize is $10,000 per event, based on 100 teams competing.

The top 15 teams in each division earn priority entry status for the 2005 Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup on ESPN2, the sport's most visible and lucrative tournament circuit.
The entry fee for the Fort Myers event is $400 per team. Cash payback will be 80 percent of the entry fees to 25 percent of the field.  Field size will not be limited, and payouts will grow accordingly.

Weigh-in for the event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday February 19th at Pineland Marina on Pine Island.

The Redfish Nation Q SERIES is sponsored by Triton Boats, Mercury Marine, Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky, Power-Pole, Falcon Rods, Hook & Tackle Outfitters, Berkley Trilene and Stanley Jigs' new WedgeTail Saltwater Lures.
