Waste To Energy Expansion Project is Finalist for Award

(October 13, 2008) – The Lee County Solid Waste Division is proud to announce that the Lee County Waste To Energy Expansion Project has been selected as one of two finalists in the Power Engineering 2008 Projects of the Year Awards in the renewable energy category. The winner of this award will be announced at the gala awards banquet at POWER-GEN International on Monday evening, December 1st, 2008. The winners and finalists will also be recognized at the event's keynote session and each will be featured in the January issue of Power Engineering magazine. The other finalist competing with Lee County for the award in the renewable/sustainable category is a Chinese wind power project.
