Sheriff's  Department  Core  Facility  Expansion  Project Ribbon  Cutting  Ceremony 

On Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 11 AM, the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and the Lee County Sheriff's Department will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony for Core Facility Expansion Project.  The new jail is located at 2501 Ortiz Avenue in East Ft Myers.  Lee County Commissioner, Brian Bigelow, will serve as master of ceremonies.  He will be joined by numerous law enforcement officials.   

This $ 53,000,000 eight story facility has 768 beds and is an addition to the existing Core Facility.    

The ceremony is open to the public and area citizens are encouraged to attend the festivities.
