The Fest will offer a variety of educational opportunities such as pet care and dog training demonstrations as well as lots of fun for pet owners and their pets. This is the largest yearly gathering of shelters and rescues from the tri-county area with hundreds of pets available for adoption. In 2007 over 30,000 pets ended up in local shelters in Southwest Florida. Due to pet overpopulation many were unable to be placed in new homes.
