Free Pets for Senior Citizens Other Specials Available for All
Jul 12, 2008 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FREE PETS for SENIOR CITIZENS Fort Myers, Florida, 7/12/2008–Lee County Animal Services realizes the importance of the human/animal bond and wishes to adopt pets over the age of 6 years to persons 65 and over without a fee. Adult dogs and cats from 1 to 5 years will also be discounted $25 for those 65 and over. As usual all ages of dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be available at Animal Services' bi-monthly adoption event at Jaguar/Audi/Land Rover of Fort Myers. The dealership is located on US 41, south of Six Mile Cypress. Offsite adoptions will be held July 19th from 10 am until 2 pm. Specially advertised adult dogs and cats are available for everyone at a fee of only $10! Other pets will also be available for the regular adoption fees as follows: Puppies $65 The adoption fee (a $500 value) includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, Lee County License for pets 3 months & over, Microchip ID, Heartworm test for dogs 6 months & over, Feline Aids & Leukemia test for cats, worming, collar, training DVD, bag of Science Diet Pet Food, and a 10-Day Pet Health Guarantee. Anyone who would like to donate much needed items may bring them to the shelter anytime or may bring them to Jaguar/Audi/Land Rover during the offsite adoption events. Items especially needed are bath towels, canned pet food, clay cat litter, empty shoe boxes or boxes of similar size (used as disposable litter pans), wee wee pads, and paper towels.
