Changes to Parking/Beach Access at Sanibel Toll Plaza
Apr 14, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Kris Cella, Cella & Associates, Inc. Fort Myers, FL, April 14, 2005 - Beginning April 18, 2005 parking and entry to the area and beach south and adjacent to the toll plaza will no longer be permitted. The Sanibel Causeway contractor is using this area to expand their staging area and prepare for the construction of the new bridges, toll plaza and roadways. This area will also be used for the new retention pond needed for the project. When construction of the new toll plaza, bridges and roadway improvements is complete, additional boat trailer and bus parking spaces will be available at the boat ramp. The construction of the new Sanibel Causeway spans and improvements to the toll plaza and parking should be completed by January 2007.
