COMMISSIONER HALL BEGINS COMMUNITY "WORK DAYS" THIS FRIDAY

FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 6, 2005) - Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall will work at Cape Coral Hospital Friday (April 8) as part of her continuing commitment to perform "work days" out in the community.

"I am very excited to have an opportunity to gain first hand knowledge of the challenges facing employers and employees in our community," commented Commissioner Hall.

"Lee County is dedicated to enhancing our business environment through our Economic Development Office and I want to take the time to truly have an understanding of our workforce and the businesses that continue to work toward diversifying our economy."

The "work days" concept is to learn more about the concerns and needs of businesses, employers, employees, residents, and organizations within the Lee County community.

Commissioner Hall hopes to do at least one workday each quarter.  In July, she is slated to work at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa.

Commissioner Hall was elected to the Board of Lee County Commissioners in 2004 and serves as the Board's vice chairman.  Her district includes North Fort Myers, and the central and northern portions of Cape Coral.
