Survival Day at the Six Mile Slough Preserve

Want to add some ADVENTURE to your life? Join us at the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve for a day of fun. Learn how animals and plants and people survive in the wild.

Keynote speaker: Tom Brown, Jr. a world renown survival expert, professional tracker, book author, movie consultant and founder of a tracking, nature awareness & wilderness survival school.

Speaking time is at 1:00 p.m.

Other Speakers and Demonstrations at the Amphitheater including fire making and palm weaving.

Mini animal and plant displays along the lower loop of boardwalk trail including a live baby alligator from the Babcock Ranch and turtles from the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium.

Guided off boardwalk  hour programs - pre-registration required. $10/person additional program fee. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. For wet walk reservations only call: 239-461-7440.

Cost - $5.00/vehicle program fee.

Wet Walk $10/person additional fee, pre-registration required.

Proceeds will go towards an Interpretive Center at the Six Mile Slough.
