Partial Closing of Manatee Park
Aug 10, 2005 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: PARTIAL CLOSING OF MANATEE PARK Manatee Park will close daily at 5:00pm (as opposed to 8 p.m.) effective Friday, August 12, 2005. In addition, the south portion of the park will be closed to the public while repairs are made to the bank of the discharge canal. Closed portions include the fishing deck, kayak launch, chickee and trails . The playground, picnic areas and butterfly gardens will remain open and accessible. Beginning Friday, August 12, daily hours of operation will be 8am-5pm. Parking fees are .75 per hour or $3 per day. Manatee Park is located at 10901 State Road 80, just east of I-75 exit 141.
