MEDIA OUTLETS CAN LINK TO FEMA ONLINE REGISTRATION PAGE

ORLANDO-The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offers disaster applicants the opportunity to register for assistance online. Florida media outlets may link the FEMA Online Registration page http://www.fema.gov/register.shtm to its websites.

FEMA banners and usage information is found at http://www.fema.gov/about/linkfema.shtm.

Applicants have until Feb. 28, 2005, to register for assistance for damaged incurred from Florida's 2004 hurricanes. Online applications are only available in English.

Individuals who would like to apply for assistance in Spanish or other languages should call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The speech- or hearing-impaired should call the TTY number at 1-800- 462-7585.
