2. Lee County Board of County commissioners is requesting proposals from interested building envelope engineering consultants for the Lee County Justice Center Reroof. Services to include but are not limited to Design Specifications, Bid Documents and Construction Administration for the engineering of approximately 961 squares of roofing on the Lee County Justice Center Complex.
3. Close coordination will be required with the selected design firm to develop and maintain the project budget and schedule. The selected consultant shall show knowledge and experience with the various existing roof types contained within the project site as well as with the proposed roof types being utilized for the replacement.
4. The selected consultant shall be licensed by the State of Florida as a roof consultant and State of Florida Roofing Inspector and show their knowledge of building specific wind uplift calculations, methods of installation and ability to provide project specific details of interface for the roofing systems.
5. Consultant Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA) will be used by the County as the basis to qualify Vendors for further consideration.
6. This CN is issued by the County to provide potential firms with information, guidelines and rules to prepare and submit a proposal. The submittal must satisfy all criteria established in this RFP to qualify for evaluation
7. A Roof Condition Survey – Lee County Justice Center dated October 7, 2103, including an aerial photo of the subject site is attached.
8. PROJECT CRITERIA
13.1 Consultant experience: Minimum of 10 years.
13.2 Reroofing Design drawing experience: 5 similar projects.
13.3 Total References: 5 .
9. PROJECT TERM
9.1. Single Project: From the Notice to Proceed or the Purchase Order date, whichever applies: __480___ calendar days to substantial completion, __30___ calendar days to final completion (total days _510____)
