The Lee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to consider the proposed amendments to the Lee County Comprehensive Land Use Plan (Lee Plan) on Wednesday, the 5th day of November, 2025. The hearing will commence at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in the Board Chambers, 2120 Main Street in Downtown Fort Myers, Florida. 

At the hearing, the Board proposes to adopt two ordinances amending the Lee Plan as follows:

CPA2025-00001 HONC 41 CPA - Amend Lee Plan Map 1-A, Future Land Use Map, to redesignate the 19.36-acre subject property to the Central Urban future land use category from the Suburban future land use category. The subject property is located along the west side of North Tamiami Trail, approximately 0.25 miles south of Del Prado Boulevard North.

CPA2024-00006 Horizon Tamiami - Amend Lee Plan Map 1-C, Mixed Use Overlay, to add 20.2 acres of the subject property to the Mixed-Use Overlay. The property is located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Brooks Road and North Tamiami Trail in North Fort Myers.

Documentation for the Proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendments is available at https://www.leegov.com/dcd/planning/cpa or at the Department of Community Development located at 1500 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, Florida. This meeting is open to the public. Interested parties may appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the Proposed Plan Amendments. A verbatim record of the proceeding will be necessary to appeal a decision made at this hearing.

It is the intent of the Board of County Commissioners that the provisions of the Comprehensive Plan Amendments may be modified as a result of consideration that may arise during Public Hearing(s). Such modifications shall be incorporated into the final version.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the 18th day of November, 2025 at 9:30 a.m., in the County Commissioners Meeting Room, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida, the Board of County Commissioners of Lee County, Florida, will consider the adoption of an agreement with WMG Acquisitions, LLC.

The agreement pertains to the County's payment for roadway improvements including the construction of a traffic signal by WMG Acquisitions, LLC of the county roadway located at the Lee Boulevard and Sunniland Boulevard intersection. Pursuant to a professional engineer's cost estimate, the estimated County cost of the project is $701,445.83. It is in the Public's best interest to accept this project proposal because the estimated cost to the Public is significantly lower than if the project were constructed by the County using the normal procurement process.

Copies of this Notice, the proposed Agreement, the professional engineer's cost estimate, and the determination of cost savings pursuant to Section 336.71(1)(e) are on file with the Lee County Department of Transportation. The Lee County Department of Transportation is located in the Public Works Building, 1500 Monroe Street, Fort Myers, Florida. The Department of Transportation's telephone number is (239) 533-8580.

Interested parties may appear at the meeting in person or through counsel and be heard with respect to the adoption of the proposed Agreement.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all owners of lands located within the boundaries of the SHEFFIELD WAY CHANNEL DREDGE CIP MSBU; WHISKEY CREEK CHANNEL DREDGE CIP MSBU; NANCY LANE WATER AND SEWER CIP MSBU that the Lee County Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, the 2nd  day of December, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, in the County Commissioners Meeting Room, Old Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida.

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the adoption of Resolutions for the first year collection of special assessments, commencing Fiscal Year October 2026, and annually thereafter, authorizing Lee County Government to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem assessments within the unincorporated area of Lee County, levied by the Lee County Board of County Commissioners as provided in §197.3632, Florida Statutes.
