The Florida Department of Transportation has grants available to add sidewalks within two miles of schools.  Unincorporated Lee County, along with the Lee County School District, will be applying for this grant. The possible sidewalks are located on the streets listed below:

Ø  Archdale Street, Delaware Road and Taylor Lane located near G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School

Ø  New York Avenue, Lynneda Avenue and Mississippi Avenue located near Tice Elementary School

Ø  Tanglewood Parkway and Manchester Boulevard located near Tanglewood Elementary School

Interested members of the public are invited to attend all meetings for each project to discuss these potential sidewalks.  Listed below are the meeting dates and times for each school:
