LEE COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION AND RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY OF BARKINGHAM DOG PARK
Saturday, November 3, 2001 is the Grand Opening Celebration of Barkingham Dog Park at Buckingham Community Park. The activities begin at 10:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11:00.
In addition to the ceremony, the day will be filled with various pet demonstrations, prizes, contests, pet related vendors and information.
Featured demonstrations provided by Tri-County Canine Search Team, Palm City Puncher’s High Excitement Fly Ball, Lyn Morningstar Dog Training, Ladyhawk Whippets show ring, and the Dog Obedience Club of Lee County.
* Lee County Animal Services will offer a FREE microchip ID to anyone attending the event with their dog.
Get your Pet’s Picture (Polaroid) taken with Santa ($5 donation).
Pet adoption information from local rescue groups and shelters.
Several contests will be held throughout the event including Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Trick, Best Dressed Dog, and Owner/Dog Look Alike.
Bring your dog out to Barkingham and help us celebrate Lee County’s newest dog park.

Located at Buckingham Community Park, 9800 Buckingham Road, Fort Myers Florida. Buckingham Road is just off State Route 82 (exit 23) 1+ miles East of I-75. Park entrance is 2 miles after you turn on Buckingham Rd, near the resource recovery plant.
