​NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENACT A COUNTY RESOLUTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, the 20th day of August, 2019, at 9:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard, in the County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, Fort Myers, Florida, the Board of County Commissioners of Lee County, Florida, will consider the enactment of a County Resolution pursuant to the State Constitution, Florida Statutes Chapters 125 and 197, and Lee County Ordinance No. 98-25.  The title of the proposed Resolution is as follows:

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORITY TO ADOPT A RESOLUTION TO LEVY A NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSEMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR THE CHERRY ESTATES SIDE STREETS ROAD PAVING CIP MUNICIPAL SERVICES BENEFIT UNIT; CONFIRMATION OF AN ASSESSMENT ROLL; PROVIDING FOR PAYMENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS; NOTICE AND HEARING; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Board of County Commissioners is the local governing board of the Cherry Estates Side Streets Road Paving CIP Municipal Services Benefit Unit and has caused this notice of this hearing to be published.  A geographic depiction of the property subject to the assessment is included herewith.  The proposed schedule of the assessments for each of 15 annual assessments is based upon each Equal Assessment Unit of $1,605.00.  The foregoing assessments will be collected by the Lee County Tax Collector.

All affected property owners have a right to appear at the public hearing and the right to file written objections within 20 days of the publication of this notice.

A verbatim record of the proceeding will be necessary to appeal a decision made at this hearing. Contact the Office of MSTBU at 239-533-2308 for further information on obtaining a record.

Copies of this Notice and the proposed resolution are available for inspection during regular business hours at the Office of MSTBU located in the County Administration Building, 2115 Second Street, Fort Myers, Florida.
