Please call ahead. Club Rec - Reminder to Parents: 2017-2018 School year Open Access Afterschool Program sessions are available for registration. Price remains $100 per child/per semester. Club Rec will not take place on days when school is not in session. Semester 1: August 10, 2017 - December 21, 2017 Semester 2: January 9, 2018 - May 30, 2018 Fun Day Information: Children ages 6-13 are able to spend teacher in-service days having fun with friends. Day may include games, arts & crafts, music, or field trip. (Price does not include field trips). Please bring a bagged lunch, snacks and a water bottle. History The Alva Community Center is part of the Alva Community Park, behind the Alva Middle & Elementary Schools. Lee County acquired the 5-acre property in 1966. In the early 70's the center was home of the first Alva Fire House and community gathering place. The building was completed by the efforts of volunteers and concerned citizens. This building was completely renovated in 2004. It has one large meeting room, two small rooms, one computer lab with six computers, and one kitchen.
