Community Meetings
Beginning in July 2014, Community meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every other month from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Tice Fire Department, 9351 Workmen Way (corner of Lexington Ave. and Tice St.), Fort Myers, regarding new Land Development Codes to implement the Palm Beach Boulevard Corridor Community Plan.  This affects the Morse Shores, Russell Park and Tice neighborhoods.

Tice Historic Community (Palm Beach Boulevard)


Palm Beach Boulevard is an urban community located south of the Caloosahatchee River from the boundary of the City of Fort Myers to I-75. It includes the Morse Shores, Russell Park, and Tice neighborhoods, as well as major commercial corridors along Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue. Palm Beach Boulevard’s community planning efforts are focused at enhancing the mixed-use character of the corridors while promoting the residential character of the community’s neighborhoods. Palm Beach Community is now actively implementing these community planning projects:


  • Palm Beach Boulevard Community Plan and Lee Plan Goal 23 guide the development and redevelopment of the Palm Beach Boulevard area into an integrated community of mixed-use corridor centers, active parks and public spaces, and strong neighborhoods.


  • Palm Beach Boulevard Community Land Development Code addresses community-wide development standards such as design, park development, and property maintenance. Additionally, the project designs and develops mixed-use corridor centers along Palm Beach Boulevard and Ortiz Avenue. This is an active community planning project.
