Provide the following information UNLESS this application is being submitted in conjunction with an approved development order:
If this application requires additional documentation, you will need to download, print a
Vegetation Removal Permit Application and
mail/fax/deliver the application to Environmental Sciences.
1) An overall site plan of the property showing the existing trees including tree species to be removed, the building footprints (if applicable), and all paved areas.
2) An aerial photograph of the property with the boundaries clearly marked.
THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO ALL VEGETATION REMOVAL PERMIT APPLICATIONS Inspections: It is understood that submission of this application grants the director or the designee the right to conduct an on-site inspection to determine that any removal, pruning or other such activities conform to applicable Lee County ordinances.
If proposed development requires preservation of vegetation and/or protected species, then barricades must be installed and inspected prior to permit issuance.
If clearing is necessary to install barricades, then a site inspection and minor clearing permit will be required prior to installation.
The site inspection, once requested, will be conducted within seven (7) to ten (10) working days. Tree protection barricades must be in place at the time of inspection.
In the event that the tree protection barricades are not in compliance and a subsequent site inspection is necessary, a reinspection fee of sixty dollars ($60.00) may be assessed to the permit fee.
Refer to the Lee County Land Development Code (LDC) Chapter 14, Article V,
as amended, Section 14-383, for barricade requirements. A copy of this ordinance may be obtained from Lee Cares at (239) 533-2737. NOTE: IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS PROPERTY, THEN YOU MUST SUBMIT A RECORDED WARRANTY DEED; AND/OR
IF PROPERTY IS GREATER THAN ONE (1) ACRE, THEN YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF NOTICE OF INTENT (NOI)
