Lee County Manager: Roger Desjarlais

County Manager Roger DesjarlaisRoger Desjarlais
 became Lee County Manager July 1, 2013. He most recently served as Lee County's Chief Deputy Property Appraiser. He served as Broward County Manager from 1998 to 2005. Prior to that, his career was with Lee County government as a paramedic, EMS Director, Public Safety Director, Community Services Director and Assistant County Manager, a position he left in late 1997 to head to Broward.

Services Provided:
The County Manager is appointed by and reports to the Lee County Commissioners. The Manager implements the policies and programs of the Board and provides general management of county government.

The County Manager directly oversees the Economic Development Office, the Sports Development Office, the Visitor & Convention Bureau, the Environmental Policy Management Office, and Office of Communications.

The Assistant County Managers oversee the rest of the County departments.
