The Olga watershed is located in the north central portion of Lee County and is approximately 2.3 sq. mi. in area. The watershed boundary described herein only takes into account the areas which drain into the main conveyance, that being Olga Creek. Some areas adjacent to the watershed have been excluded from the Olga watershed boundary since the Interim Plan. The subject areas are considered Coastal Drainage' and hence discharge freely into the Caloosahatchee River. The Olga watershed is approximately two and one-half miles in the north-south direction by one mile in the east-west direction.

The Olga watershed is bounded by coastal drainage (formerly part of the Olga watershed per the Interim Plan) to the east; Hickey Creek watershed to the south; coastal drainage (formerly part of the Olga watershed per the Interim Plan) to the west; Orange River watershed to the southwest; and the Caloosahatchee River to the north. Even though there have been significant changes to the Olga watershed boundary due to the omission of the coastal drainage areas, these changes do not effect the watershed boundaries for Hickey Creek and Orange River watersheds, as completed in the Lee County Surface Water Management Plan dated December 1992.

The watershed boundary has been better defined with the use of current Lee County aerial contour maps, field reconnaissance, historical data and past efforts completed for the Lee County Surface Water Management Plan.

The watershed boundary is generally described as follows: (All section references are in Township 43 South and Range 26 East) commence from the southern banks of the Caloosahatchee River and Linwood Avenue and continue southerly to the approximately 600 feet south of the intersection of Old Olga Road; thence continue southerly by southeasterly by contour to the southeast section corner of Section 34; thence continue westerly along said section line, which is also the northern boundary of the East County Water Control District, to the southwest section corner of Section 34; thence continue by contour northwesterly to approximately the intersection of the north section line of Section 33 and Buckingham Road; thence continue northeasterly along Buckingham Road to the intersection of Buckingham Road , Engelside Drive and Old Olga Road; thence continue northerly along Engelside Drive to the southern banks of the Caloosahatchee River.
