Ad Hoc Committee
At its Sept. 11, 2007 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners directed that a Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource (DR/GR) land use study be conducted and that a committee be established to assist staff with the study and to help develop a balanced result. The committee was a “special” committee formed for the task of the study.
The committee consisted of 15 members (3 appointed by each commissioner) to represent the following groups:
Mining Industry, FDOT, large landowners
Other countywide interests including environmental, natural resources, water management district, general citizens, smart growth members, etc.
The Committee is subject to financial disclosure; Sunshine Law; and Public Records laws.
