Current Status - Withdrawn
Amend the Lee Plan to address the further impacts of mining and steps needed for adequate mitigation or preventing of adverse impacts. Further, recommendations are made to prevent future land use conflicts between mining and other uses in rural areas. Goal 10, Natural Resources Extraction, is proposed to be expanded to include measures for rock mining, and for mitigation of rock mining impacts with adjacent land uses.

Amend the various elements of the Lee Plan including: the Future Land Use Element; the Transportation Element; and the Glossary to accommodate the Fountains DRI proposal on a 2,769 ±acre property generally located at the intersection of Daniels Parkway and S.R. 82. Amend the Future Land Use Map series, Map 1, to change the Future Land Use classifications shown on Map 1 from “Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource,” “Central Urban,” and “Wetlands” to “Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource,” “Wetlands,” “Town Center District,” “Tradeport”, “Public Facilities,” and “Conservation Lands.” Incorporate a new map into the Future Land Use Map series, Map 1A, the “Town Center District Map.” Incorporate proposed revisions to the following Lee Plan Maps: Map 3D, “Unincorporated Bikeways/Walkways Facilities Plan;” Map 3I, “Public Transit Trip Generators;” Map 4, “Private Recreational Facilities Overlay Map;” Map 6, “Lee County Utilities Future Water Service Areas;” Map 7, “Lee County Utilities Future Sewer Service Areas;” Map 16, “Lee County Planning Communities;” Map 19, “Commercial Site Location Standards Map;” and, Map 20, “Contiguous Agricultural Parcels Over 100 acres in Non-Urban Future Land Use Categories.” Incorporate various new definitions into the Glossary. Incorporate a new Goal and Objective and Policies specific to the Town Center District into the Future Land Use Element. Amend Table 1(a), Summary of Residential Densities, and Table 1(b), Year 2030 Allocations, to reflect the Town Center District future land use category.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series for an approximate 7.7 +/- acre site located in Section 20, Township 44 South, Range 23 East, to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from Rural to Suburban and Commercial. Amend Map 7, the Lee County Utilities Future Sewer Service Areas Map, to add the subject site to the future service area. The site is generally located south of Pine Island Road and east of Veterans Parkway.



Current Status - Adopt
Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate recommendations of the Caloosahatchee Shores Community Planning effort. Establish a new Goal, Objective, Policies, and Standards specific to the proposed Olga Overlay. Amend the Future Land Use Map series adding the Olga Overlay.

Amend the Lee Plan Future Land Use Map series, Map 1 to change 5.43 acres from the Rural Land Use designation to the Suburban Land Use designation.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series for an approximate 40 +/- acre site located in Section 18, Township 43 South, Range 26 East, to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from Rural to Suburban. The site is generally located at the southeast intersection of SR 31 and North River Road.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1 to reflect a new "Rural Village" land use designation for the historic center of Alva, currently designated under the Urban Community land use designation. Amend the Future Land Use element to add a new Goal, Objectives, and Policies specific to the the Alva Community and the proposed "Rural Village" land use designation.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 192.32 +/- acre site located in Sections 29 and 30, Township 43 South, Range 27 East, to change the Future Land Use classification from Rural and Urban Community to Suburban. The site is generally located near the southeast corner of SR 80 and Bateman Road.

Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate the recommendations of the Page Park Community Planning effort. Amend the Future Land Use element to add a new Goal, Objectives, and Policies specific in the long range development of Page Park.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1 to reflect a change from the Rural Land Use designation and the Wetland Land Use designation to the Suburban Land Use designation. Also change Map 6, Future Potable Water Service Area to include the 48 +/- acre site to allow Lee County utility services. Additionally requested is a text amendment change to the Lee Plan changing Table 1 (b) to reflect a change to the Alva Planning Community allocations to incorporate the corresponding FLUM amendment.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 14 +/- acre site located in Section 20, Township 43 South, Range 25 East, to change the Future Land Use classification from Suburban to Industrial Development. The site is generally located north of Bayshore Road and 1.1 miles west of I-75.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 13.5 +/- acre site located in Section 20, Township 44 South, Range 23 East, to change the Future Land Use classification from Rural to Intensive Development. The site is generally located in the southeast corner of Pine Island Road and Veterans Parkway.

Amend the Community Facilities and Services, Potable Water sub-element, the Conservation and Coastal Management Element, and the Intergovernmental Coordination Element of the Lee Plan to coordinate appropriate aspects of the comprehensive plan with the South Florida Water Management District Water Supply Plan and to include a ten year Water Supply Facilities Work Plan as required by s. 163.3177 (6)(c), F.S.

Amend Tables 3 and 4 of the Lee Plan to incorporate the latest Lee County Capital Improvement Program and show that the Capital Improvement element is "Financially Feasible". Amend the Capital Improvement Element of the Lee Plan to reflect long-term concurrency management planning and to provide for a definition of "Financially Feasible".

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series for an approximate 21,600 +/- square foot site located in Section 35, Township 45 South, Range 22 East, to add the site to Map12, the Water-Dependent Overlay Zones. The site is generally located on the east side of Stringfellow Road just south of York Road.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 7.5 +/- acre site located in Section 21, Township 43 South, Range 25 East, to change the Future Land Use Classification from Suburban to Industrial Development. The site is generally located south of I-75, north of Bayshore Road, and to the east of the Seaboard Coast Line railroad right-of-way.



Current Status - Deny
Small Scale request to amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 7.35 +/- acre site located in Section 23, Township 45 South, Range 25 East, to change the Future Land Use classification from Tradeport to General Interchange. The site is generally located in the southeast quadrant of Daniels Parkway and Treeline Avenue.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series to incorporate the Page Field Airport Layout Plan. Amend the Future Land Use Element; the Ports, Aviation, and Related facilities sub-element of the Transportation Element; and the Intergovernmental Coordination Element of the Lee Plan.

Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate the recommendations of the Upper Captiva Community Planning effort. Establish a new Vision Statement and a new Goal, including Objectives and Policies specific to Upper Captiva.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 32.18 +/- acre site located in Section 19, Township 46 South, Range 24 East, to change the Future Land Use Classification from Urban Community , Suburban, and Industrial Development to the proposed Destination Resort Mixed Use Water Dependent Land Use Future Land Use Classification. Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate a new Goal, including Objectives and Policies specific to the proposed Destination Resort Mixed Use Water Dependent Land Use category. The site is generally located to the north and south of Main Street near the east end of San Carlos Island.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 15 +/- acre site located in Section 05, Township 46 South, Range 25 East, to change the Future Land Use classification from Open Lands to Rural. The site is generally located between Briarcliff Road and Alico Road east of U.S. 41.

Amend Policy 1.8.2 of the Future Land Use Element to allow for right-in/right-out access to Gunnery Road for the property at the southwest corner of Gunnery Road and Leonard Blvd.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series, Map 1, for an approximate 62.38 +/- acre site located in Section 6, Township 43 South, Range 23 East and Section 1, Township 43 South, Range 22 East, to change the Future Land Use Classification from Rural to the proposed Burnt Store Marina future land use classification. Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate a new policy specific to the proposed Burnt Store Marina Village land use category. The site is generally located west of Burnt Store Road within the Burnt Store Community.

Evaluate and incorporate into the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan the appropriate policy changes that were included in the recommendations from the Basile, Baumann, Prost, Inc. Commercial/Industrial Study.

Amend the Future Land Use Element of the Lee Plan to incorporate the recommendations of the North Fort Myers Community Planning effort. Establish a new Vision Statement and a new Goal, including Objectives and Policies specific to North Fort Myers.

Amend Lee Plan Table 5, Southwest Florida International Airport, to broaden the allowable non-aviation uses by adding a “Commercial and Service” category, amend the phasing schedule of allowable uses, correct several omissions, add a fourth airline fuel tank at the existing fuel farm north of the runway, and update several midfield project references with as built information.

Amend the Conservation and Coastal Management Element of the Lee Plan to establish a Category 5 hurricane evacuation standard, a shelter time standard, and mitigation measures. Amend Map 5, Coastal High Hazard Area, of the Future Land Use Map Series to redefine the Coastal High Hazard Area.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series for an approximate 9.99 +/- acre site located in Section 27, Township 43 South, Range 26 East, to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from Rural to Commercial. The site is generally located on the north side of Palm Beach Boulevard east of S. Olga Drive.

Amend the Future Land Use Map Series for an approximate 9.91 +/- acre site located in Section 04, Township 46 South, Range 25 East, to change the classification shown on Map 1, the Future Land Use Map, from Industrial Development to Commercial. The site is generally located at the northeast corner of Alico Road and Lee Road.
