South Road and Danley Drive Realignment Project
Public Information Workshop
October 27th at 6:30 p.m. at Villas Elementary School

Fort Myers, FL, October 21, 2003 - The Lee County Port Authority will
conduct a public information workshop concerning the realignment of South
Road and Danley Drive including the closing of Page Airport Road.  The
workshop will be held on Monday, October 27, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at Villas
Elementary Cafetorium, 8385 Beacon Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida.

The Port Authority and its consultants evaluated and developed plans for the
southwest quadrant of Page Field Airport to improve traffic circulation and
limit through traffic into residential areas.  This includes the realignment
of South Road and Danley Drive to provide improved traffic flow.  This will
include the closing of Page Airport Road.  An additional goal is to provide
adequate parking for Jerry Brooks Park and eliminate pedestrians crossing
South Road to access the park from the existing grass parking area.

The public information workshop is being held to present the design for the
project, receive comments and answer questions from the public.
Representatives from the Lee County Port Authority will be on hand to
discuss the project.
