LEE COUNTY TO HOST PERFECT GAMES WORLD WOOD BAT ASSOCIATION'S UNDERCLASS SHOWCASE

Fort Myers, Florida (October 1st, 2003) Lee County will host the 4th in a series of five Florida-based Perfect Game events from October 3-6, 2003. The Red Sox 5-Plex, Terry Park and the Cape Coral Sports Complex will be venues for this prestigious event, where the nation's best high school freshman, sophomores and juniors will participate.

The majority of the teams will be comprised of squads from Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Crusader Baseball of Cape Coral is the only local team entered in this event, which will round out this field of 40 teams.

Perfect Game, based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa is the number one scout reporting agency to Major League Baseball, and was an integral part of the AFLAC All American Baseball Classic held earlier this summer at the Lee County Sports Complex.

"The number of quality fields, the amount of hotels rooms and the people, are what keeps Perfect Game coming back to Lee County" said Jerry Ford owner and president of Perfect Game.

Schedules and rosters can be obtained by visiting www.perfectgame.org then to the WWBA icon then to tournaments then to 10/3-10/06 WWBA Underclass World Showcase.
